Abstract
Aspects relate to selection of a resource for a random access procedure. In some examples, a user equipment may transmit a random access message on a resource associated with a control resource set pool index value. In some examples, a user equipment may transmit a random access message on a resource associated with a physical cell identifier.
Claims31
A method for wireless communication at a user equipment, the method comprising:
- transmitting a first random access message for a random access procedure to a network entity, the first random access message being transmitted via a first random access resource of a set of random access resources associated with a first control resource set pool index value of a plurality of control resource set pool index values;
- receiving a second random access message from the network entity, the second random access message including timing advance information;
- and
- transmitting a message to the network entity based on the timing advance information.

A user equipment, comprising:
- one or more memories that store processor-executable code;
- and
- one or more processors configured to execute the processor-executable code and cause the user equipment to:
- transmit a first random access message for a random access procedure to a network entity, the first random access message being transmitted via a first random access resource of a set of random access resources associated with a first control resource set pool index value of a plurality of control resource set pool index values;
- receive a second random access message from the network entity, the second random access message including timing advance information;
- and
- transmit a message to the network entity based on the timing advance information.
