Abstract
An optical imaging system includes a first lens, a second lens, a third lens, a fourth lens, a fifth lens, a sixth lens, a seventh lens, and an eighth lens disposed in order from an object side. The first lens has positive refractive power, and the second lens has negative refractive power. At least three of the first to eighth lenses each has a refractive index of 1.61 or more, and (TTL/(2×IMG HT))× (TTL/f)<0.64 is satisfied, where TTL is a distance from an object-side surface of the first lens to an imaging plane on an optical axis, IMG HT is half a diagonal length of the imaging plane, and f is a total focal length of the first lens to the eighth lens.

An optical imaging system, comprising:
- a first lens having positive refractive power, a convex object-side surface in a paraxial region thereof and a concave image-side surface in the paraxial region thereof;
- a second lens having negative refractive power, a convex object-side surface in a paraxial region thereof and a concave image-side surface in the paraxial region thereof;
- a third lens having positive refractive power, a convex object-side surface in a paraxial region thereof and a concave image-side surface in the paraxial region thereof;
- a fourth lens having positive refractive power;
- a fifth lens having negative refractive power, a convex object-side surface in a paraxial region thereof and a concave image-side surface in the paraxial region thereof;
- a sixth lens having refractive power;
- a seventh lens having refractive power;
- and
- an eighth lens having refractive power,
- wherein the first to eighth lenses are disposed in order from an object side, and
- wherein 1<f3/f<6 is satisfied, where f3 is a focal length of the third lens, and f is a total focal length of the optical imaging system.
