Systems and method of managing documents

A computer-implemented method of managing a subject document associated with a resource, the method comprising:

• receiving data obtained by user input via an input module;
• obtain extracted data for an image of the subject document;
• determining that the subject document is not unique by:
• comparing first validation data to duplicate detection data, the first validation data including the data obtained by user input;
• and
• comparing second validation data to the duplicate detection data, the second validation data including the extracted data;
• and
• in response to determining that the subject document is not unique:
• prevent a provisional allocation of the resource associated with the subject document to a data record.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions for managing a subject document associated with a resource, the instructions, when executed by a processor of a system, cause the system to:

• receive data obtained by user input via an input module;
• obtain extracted data for an image of the subject document;
• determine that the subject document is not unique by:
• comparing first validation data to duplicate detection data, the first validation data including the data obtained by user input;
• and
• comparing second validation data to the duplicate detection data, the second validation data including the extracted data;
• and
• in response to determining that the subject document is not unique:
• prevent a provisional allocation of the resource associated with the subject document to a data record.
