Abstract
A device includes first and second circuitry coupled to the first circuitry, and a permute network coupled to the second circuitry. The first circuitry is operable to receive a set of elements, and compare a first element of the set of elements to a remainder of the set of elements. The second circuitry is operable to provide a control signal that specifies a respective sorted position for each element of the set of elements. The permute network is operable to reorder the set of elements based on the control signal.

A device comprising:
- first circuitry configurable to:
- receive a set of elements;
- and
- compare a first element of the set of elements to a remainder of the set of elements;
- second circuitry coupled to the first circuitry and configurable to provide a control signal that specifies a respective sorted position for each element of the set of elements;
- and
- a permute network coupled to the second circuitry and configurable to reorder the set of elements based on the control signal.

- comparing a first vector element of a set of vector elements of a vector to a remainder of the set of vector elements;
- determining, based on the comparing, a control vector that specifies a respective sorted position for each vector element of the set of vector elements;
- and
