The memory may store instructions that, when individually or collectively executed by the at least one processor, cause the electronic device to determine an item group, the item group including at least one icon for executing an application installed in the electronic device, receive a gesture input of a user through the display, determine a first object corresponding to the gesture input, and arrange one or more items included in the item group on the display based on a shape of the first object.
