Abstract
The present invention relates to a metal composite compound used as a precursor of a positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery, said metal composite compound comprising at least one metal element selected from the group consisting of Ni, Co, and Mn, and satisfying all of the following requirements (1) to (3): (1) An average particle strength is 10 MPa or more and less than 45 MPa; (2) An average particle diameter D50 is 1.0 μm or more and 4.0 μm or less; (3) A BET specific surface area is 40 m2/g or more and 100 m2/g or less.
Claims8
A metal composite compound used as a precursor of a positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery, said metal composite compound comprising at least one metal element selected from the group consisting of Ni, Co, and Mn, and satisfying all of the following requirements (1) to (3):
- (1) An average particle strength is 10 MPa or more and less than 45 MPa;
- (2) An average particle diameter D50 is 1.0 μm or more and 4.0 μm or less;
- (3) A BET specific surface area is 40 m2/g or more and 100 m2/g or less.
A method for producing a metal composite compound,
- the method comprising
- a reaction step of supplying a metal salt solution containing at least one element selected from the group consisting of Ni, Co, and Mn, a complexing agent, and an alkaline solution to a reaction tank to carry out a coprecipitation reaction,
- wherein in the reaction step, a gas containing oxygen is supplied to a reaction solution in the reaction tank, and an amount (NL) of oxygen consumed with respect to a total amount (mol) of metal elements contained in the metal salt solution is 0.3 NL/mol or more and 0.7 NL/mol or less.
