Abstract
A mobile cleaning robot can include a body, a pad assembly, and a pad drive system. The pad assembly can be connected to the body and can be movable relative thereto. The pad drive system can be connected to the body and can be operable to move the pad assembly relative to the body between a stored position and a cleaning position.
Claims20
A mobile cleaning robot comprising:
- a body;
- a pad assembly connected to the body and movable relative thereto, the pad assembly including a pad tray and a cleaning pad releasably secured to the pad tray;
- and
- a pad drive system connected to the body and operable to move the pad assembly relative to the body between:
- a stored position located at least partially above a top surface of the body, at least a portion of the cleaning pad or the pad tray engaged with the top surface of the body in the stored position;
- and
- a cleaning position located at least partially below a bottom surface the body.

A mobile cleaning robot comprising:
- a body including a top portion and a bottom portion, the top portion including a storage surface;
- a pad assembly connected to the body and movable relative thereto, the pad assembly including a pad tray and a cleaning pad releasably secured to the pad tray;
- and
- a pad drive system connected to the body and operable to move the pad assembly relative to the body between:
- a stored position wherein at least a portion of the cleaning pad or at least a portion of the pad tray is engaged with the storage surface;
- and
- a cleaning position located at least partially below the bottom portion of the body, the cleaning pad engageable with a floor surface in the cleaning position.

- a body;
- a pair of drive wheels connected to the body and operable to move the body about a floor surface;
- a pad tray configured to support a cleaning pad engageable with the floor surface;
- an arm connected to the pad tray;
- and
- a pad drive system connected to the body and connected to the arm, the pad drive system operable to move the arm and the pad tray relative to the body between:
- a stored position located above a top surface of the body;
- and
- a cleaning position located below the body where the cleaning pad is engageable with the floor surface.
