Managing Service User Discovery and Service Launch Object Placement on a Device

A method for use by a wireless device including a user interface, the method comprising:

• obtaining information to identify a portion of the user interface of the wireless device;
• obtaining one or more service launch objects for placement in the identified portion of the user interface;
• placing the one or more service launch objects in the identified portion of the user interface;
• monitoring a current time of day;
• obtaining a replacement launch object for replacing at least one of the one or more service launch objects placed in the identified portion of the user interface;
• and
• based on the current time, replacing the at least one of the one or more service launch objects placed in the identified portion of the user interface with the replacement launch object.

A network system configured to communicate with a wireless device including a user interface, the network system comprising:

• a processor configured to:
• obtain information to identify a portion of the user interface of the wireless device;
• obtain one or more service launch objects for placement in the identified portion of the user interface;
• cause the one or more service launch objects to be placed in the identified portion of the user interface;
• monitor a current time of day;
• obtain a replacement launch object for replacing at least one of the one or more service launch objects placed in the identified portion of the user interface;
• and
• based on the current time, cause the at least one of the one or more service launch objects placed in the identified portion of the user interface to be replaced with the replacement launch object.

A method for use with a network system in communicate with a wireless device including a user interface, the method comprising:

• obtaining information to identify a portion of the user interface of the wireless device;
• obtaining one or more service launch objects for placement in the identified portion of the user interface;
• causing the one or more service launch objects to be placed in the identified portion of the user interface;
• monitoring a current time of day;
• obtaining a replacement launch object for replacing at least one of the one or more service launch objects placed in the identified portion of the user interface;
• and
• based on the current time, causing the at least one of the one or more service launch objects placed in the identified portion of the user interface to be replaced with the replacement launch object.
