Abstract
The present invention relates to superoxide dismutase, and uses thereof for preventing or treating mucositis. The superoxide dismutase according to the present invention can be effectively used for treating or improving the inhibition of a proliferation of mucous epithelium cells, which is a side effect of anticancer agents or radiotherapy.

A composition for treating, improving or preventing mucositis, comprising a superoxide dismutase (SOD) derived from Bacillus as an active ingredient.
