Abstract
A surgical saw system including an attachment disposed between and connecting a bar of a saw blade cartridge to a surgical saw. The attachment including a body having a first coupling feature in releasable engagement with a distal end of a housing to releasably hold the body to the saw. The attachment further comprising a second coupling feature in selective releasable engagement with a first holding feature of the bar, such that the second coupling feature of the attachment is an opening dimensioned to receive the first holding feature of the bar. The attachment may be disposed between and connecting the bar of the blade cartridge to the surgical saw.
Claims17
An attachment disposed between and connecting a bar of a saw blade cartridge to a surgical saw, the attachment comprising:
- a body including a first coupling feature in releasable engagement with a distal end of a housing to releasably hold the body to the saw;
- a second coupling feature in selective releasable engagement with a first holding feature of the bar;
- and
- wherein the second coupling feature of the attachment is an opening dimensioned to receive the first holding feature of the bar.
An attachment for removably securing a saw blade cartridge to a surgical saw, the attachment comprising:
- a coupling feature in selective releasable engagement with the saw blade cartridge such that the coupling feature engages a first holding feature of a bar of the saw blade cartridge static when the surgical saw is operated to move a rack of the saw blade cartridge in a reciprocal motion along a proximal-to-distal longitudinal axis of the bar;
- a body including a first coupling feature in releasable engagement with a distal end of the housing to releasably hold the body of the attachment to the saw;
- and
- wherein the attachment includes two shells that form the body of the attachment, each of the two shells includes a planar base and two wings that extend outwardly from opposed sides of the planar base.
