Abstract
A droplet delivery device, such as for providing aerosol to the respiratory system of an individual via inhalation, including includes an ejector mechanism in fluid communication with a reservoir that provides a constant fluid supply so that the droplet delivery device can be used to administer droplets in the device airflow in multiple orientations.
Claims28
A droplet delivery device for delivering a fluid as an ejected stream of droplets comprising:
- a housing including an airflow exit;
- and
- a fluid reservoir coupled to the housing in fluid communication with an electronically actuated ejector mechanism including an aperture plate with openings;
- wherein the fluid reservoir constantly supplies fluid to the ejector mechanism so that the ejector mechanism produces droplets in entrained airflow toward the airflow exit regardless of the orientation of the droplet delivery device.
A droplet delivery device for delivering a fluid as an ejected stream of droplets comprising:
- a housing including an airflow exit;
- and
- a fluid reservoir coupled to the housing in fluid communication with an electronically actuated ejector mechanism including an aperture plate with openings;
- wherein the fluid reservoir constantly supplies fluid to the ejector mechanism so that the ejector mechanism produces droplets in entrained airflow toward the airflow exit in both horizontal and vertical orientations of the droplet delivery device.
