The subject technology receives a query, the query including a set of statements, the set of statements including a function call, the function call including a declaration of a vector data type as an argument of the function call. The subject technology processes the query, the processing including invoking the function call. The subject technology provides a set of query results from processing the query, the set of query results including a vector data structure corresponding to the vector data type, the vector data structure including a set of elements, each element comprising a numerical data type.

A system comprising:
- at least one hardware processor;
- and
- a memory storing instructions that cause the at least one hardware processor to perform operations comprising:
- receiving a query, the query including a set of statements, the set of statements including a function call, the function call including a declaration of a vector data type as an argument of the function call;
- processing the query, the processing including invoking the function call;
- and
- providing a set of query results from processing the query, the set of query results including a vector data structure corresponding to the vector data type, the vector data structure including a set of elements, each element comprising a numerical data type.
A method comprising:
- receiving a query, the query including a set of statements, the set of statements including a function call, the function call including a declaration of a vector data type as an argument of the function call;
- processing the query, the processing including invoking the function call;
- and
- providing a set of query results from processing the query, the set of query results including a vector data structure corresponding to the vector data type, the vector data structure including a set of elements, each element comprising a numerical data type.
A non-transitory computer-storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a machine, configure the machine to perform operations comprising:
- receiving a query, the query including a set of statements, the set of statements including a function call, the function call including a declaration of a vector data type as an argument of the function call;
- processing the query, the processing including invoking the function call;
- and
- providing a set of query results from processing the query, the set of query results including a vector data structure corresponding to the vector data type, the vector data structure including a set of elements, each element comprising a numerical data type.
