Enhanced flexibility neurovascular catheter

A neurovascular catheter comprising:

• an elongate tubular body comprising a flexible distal zone, the flexible distal zone comprising,
• a tubular inner liner comprising a softened portion having an axially stretched portion and an unstretched portion;
• a helical coil positioned over the tubular inner liner;
• and
• a plurality of tubular segments positioned over the helical coil, the plurality of tubular segments having durometers that decrease in a distal direction.

A neurovascular catheter comprising:

• an elongate tubular body comprising a flexible distal zone, the flexible distal zone comprising,
• a tubular inner liner comprising a softened portion having an axially stretched portion and an unstretched portion;
• a helical coil positioned over the tubular inner liner;
• and
• a plurality of tubular segments positioned over the helical coil;
• wherein a flexural load of at least a portion of the elongate tubular body decreases in a distal direction.
