Abstract
Methods and systems for processing input from an image-capture device for gesture-recognition. The method further includes computationally interpreting user gestures in accordance with a first mode of operation; analyzing the path of movement of an object to determine an intent of a user to change modes of operation; and, upon determining an intent of the user to change modes of operation, subsequently interpreting user gestures in accordance with the second mode of operation.
Claims20
A system, comprising:
- a processor coupled to a computer memory;
- and
- processor-executable instructions, which instructions, when executed by the processor, implement operations including:
- determining a mode of operation, based, at least in part, on a movement of a first object in a three-dimensional (3D) space;
- based, at least in part, on the mode of operation, displaying a line at a rate that is different from a rate of the movement of the first object;
- determining that, at least a portion of, the displayed line overlaps at least a portion of the first object;
- and
- displaying movement of the first object at the rate of the movement of the first object.
A method, comprising:
- determining a mode of operation, based, at least in part, on a movement of a first object in a three-dimensional (3D) space;
- based, at least in part, on the mode of operation, displaying a line at a rate that is different from a rate of the movement of the first object;
- determining that, at least a portion of, the displayed line overlaps at least a portion of the first object;
- and
- displaying movement of the first object at the rate of the movement of the first object.
A non-transitory computer readable storage medium, storing computer program instructions, which instructions, when executed on a processor, implement operations including:
- determining a mode of operation, based at least in part upon a movement of a first object in a three-dimensional (3D) space;
- based, at least in part, on the mode of operation, displaying a line at a rate that differs from a rate of the movement of the first object;
- determining that, at least a portion of, the displayed line overlaps at least a portion of the first object;
- and
- displaying movement of the first object at the rate of the movement of the first object.
