The present disclosure is directed to an HVAC system including a refrigeration circuit and a greenhouse gas removal circuit. The refrigerant circuit includes a first heat exchanger, a second heat exchanger, and at least one conduit configured to direct a refrigerant between the first heat exchanger and the second heat exchanger. The greenhouse gas removal circuit includes a first vessel adjacent to the first heat exchanger, a second vessel adjacent to the second heat exchanger, and at least one additional conduit configured to direct a solvent between the first vessel and the second vessel. The solvent present at the first vessel absorbs or adsorbs greenhouse gas (e.g., CO2) from a first airflow biased over the first heat exchanger. Heat rejected by the second heat exchanger into a second airflow is used to drive, at the second vessel, separation of the greenhouse gas (e.g., CO2) from the solvent.
