Scroll compressor

A scroll compressor comprising a fixed scroll and an orbiting scroll that are disposed to mesh with each other and have a baseplate and a spiral wall erected on the baseplate, the scroll compressor being configured to revolve the orbiting scroll with respect to the fixed scroll to compress a fluid taken into a compression chamber formed between the fixed scroll and the orbiting scroll, wherein

• the fixed scroll and the orbiting scroll are made of an aluminum-based material,
• a first coating layer formed by tin plating is formed on a compression chamber-side end face of the baseplate of one of the fixed scroll and the orbiting scroll and a surface of the spiral wall of the one scroll,
• a second coating layer formed by nickel-phosphorus plating is formed on a compression chamber-side end face of the baseplate of the other scroll of the fixed scroll and the orbiting scroll and a surface of the spiral wall of the other scroll,
• a wall height of the spiral wall of the other scroll is set to be higher than a wall height of the spiral wall of the one scroll,
• the first coating layer at the tip of the spiral wall of the one scroll and the second coating layer of the baseplate of the other scroll are separated from each other, and
• the first coating layer of the baseplate of the one scroll and the second coating layer at the tip of the spiral wall of the other scroll are in contact with each other.
