Abstract
Disclosed are novel C4-substituted tryptamine derivative compounds and pharmaceutical and recreational drug formulations containing the same, including C4-ether-substituted tryptamine derivative compounds, C4-carbonic ester-substituted tryptamine derivative compounds, C4-polyether substituted tryptamine derivative compounds, and C4-phosphate substituted tryptamine derivative compounds. The pharmaceutical formulations may be used to treat psychiatric disorders.

A chemical compound having chemical formula (I):
- wherein R4 is a substituent containing:
- (A) an ether moiety or a derivative thereof;
- (B) a carbonic ester moiety or a derivative thereof;
- (C) a carboxylic acid moiety or a derivative thereof;
- (D) a polyether or a derivative thereof;
- (E) a carbonothioate moiety or a derivative thereof;
- or
- (F) a phosphate moiety or a derivative thereof;
- wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom or a moiety containing a carbonic ester or derivative thereof, or a ketone or ketone derivative;
- and
- wherein R3a and R3b are each independently a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group.
