Abstract
The present invention relates to automated methods of applying compression to the body of a subject comprising a fitting cycle and a treatment cycle, including related devices, systems, and processors.
Claims22
An automated method of applying compression to the body of a subject comprising:
- evaluating edema characteristics in a body part of the subject;
- and
- adjusting compression level applied to the body part based on a result of the edema characteristic evaluation;
- wherein evaluating edema characteristics comprises evaluating body fluid flow rate within, into, or out of swollen tissues of the body part, and/or evaluating body fluid accumulation within swollen tissues of the body part,
- wherein adjusting compression level comprises delivering or removing an amount of a fluid to a chamber of a compression sleeve wrapped around the body part in at least one treatment cycle.
