Abstract
A dispensing closure system is provided for a container for housing and dispensing contents. The system includes a closure having a closure body for extending from the container at the container opening and a cap or lid hingedly attached to the closure body. The closure body has a dispensing spout, and the lid includes a projection or spud member. A fitment member is further provided and is operable to communicate with the container and the closure.
Claims20
A storage and dispensing system comprising:
- a container operable to house liquid contents;
- and
- a closure member operable to be secured to the container;
- the closure member comprising an internal thread portion and at least one of an angled projection and a ramp spaced apart from and proximal to a leading edge of the internal thread portion;
- the closure member comprising a first projection and the container comprising a second projection, wherein the first projection and the second projection are operable to limit at least one of rotation and application of force to the system;
- wherein the first projection is spaced vertically apart from the leading edge.
A closure member for selectively sealing a container opening, the closure member comprising:
- a main body portion generally comprising an annular form;
- an internal thread portion extending helically within the main body portion;
- at least one of an angled projection and a ramp spaced apart from and proximal to a leading edge of the internal thread portion;
- a first projection operable to limit at least one of rotation and application of force to the system;
- wherein the first projection is spaced vertically apart from the leading edge and the angled projection;
- and
- a tear-away panel that is selectively removable and operable to expose a central aperture of the closure member.
A closure system for a container, the closure system comprising:
- a closure member comprising a main body portion operable to be secured to a container and allow selective dispensation of contents from the container;
- the main body portion comprising an aperture;
- a tear-away panel selectively removable from the aperture;
- an internal portion of the closure member comprising a first projection and a second projection;
- wherein the first projection and the second projection each comprise an angled lower surface operable to contact a revolved projection extending around an external surface of the container and wherein the lower angled surfaces are coplanar.
