Abstract
Provided herein are milk-derived peptide compounds and compositions having antimicrobial activity. The compounds, compositions, and methods are useful as alternatives to existing antibiotic and antimicrobial agents.

A peptide having an amino acid sequence selected from any one of SEQ ID NOS:
- 1-295;
- or a pharmaceutically or cosmetically acceptable salt thereof.
A composition comprising a first peptide having an amino acid sequence selected from any one of SEQ ID NOS:
- 1-295 or a pharmaceutically or cosmetically acceptable salt thereof;
- and a second peptide having an amino acid sequence selected from any one of SEQ ID NOS:
- 1-295 or a pharmaceutically or cosmetically acceptable salt thereof, wherein the first peptide and the second peptide are different.
