Abstract
According to the present disclosure, a battery may be provided. The battery may include an electrode assembly comprising a first electrode and a second electrode, a cylindrical can accommodating the electrode assembly, electrically connected to the first electrode, and having a first open surface, a cover plate coupled to the first open surface of the can and electrically connected to the first electrode, a terminal cap arranged on the cover plate in a state of being insulated from the cover plate and electrically connected to the second electrode, and a first insulating member arranged on a first surface of the cover plate and having a ring shape surrounding a periphery of the terminal cap.
Claims20
A battery comprising:
- an electrode assembly comprising a first electrode and a second electrode;
- a cylindrical can accommodating the electrode assembly, electrically connected to the first electrode, and having a first open surface;
- a cover plate coupled to the first open surface of the can and electrically connected to the first electrode;
- a terminal cap arranged on the cover plate in a state of being insulated from the cover plate and electrically connected to the second electrode;
- and
- a first insulating member arranged on a first surface of the cover plate and having a ring shape surrounding a periphery of the terminal cap.
A battery comprising:
- an electrode assembly comprising a first electrode and a second electrode;
- a housing cup comprising a first reference surface and a first sidewall extending vertically from a circumference of the first reference surface, wherein the housing cup accommodates the electrode assembly, is electrically connected to the first electrode, and has a cylindrical shape with one open side;
- a housing top comprising a second reference surface and a second sidewall extending vertically from a periphery of the second reference surface, wherein the housing top is electrically connected to the second electrode and has a cylindrical shape with one side open so as to cover the one open side of the housing cup and a part of the first sidewall;
- and
- a first insulating member arranged on an outer surface of the first sidewall of the housing cup and having a ring shape surrounding a periphery of an end portion of the second sidewall of the housing top.
