Abstract
Provided herein are liquid aqueous detergent compositions having a surfactant system with a primary surfactant being anionic surfactant and a secondary surfactant being amphoteric surfactant, and one or more enzymes whilst the surfactant system optionally includes alkylbenzene sulphonate or derivatives thereof, in which the amount of alkylbenzene sulphonate or derivatives thereof is up to 25 wt % of the anionic surfactant calculated on total amount of anionic surfactant. A method of cleaning a stainless-steel hard surface using the composition is also provided.
Claims15
A liquid aqueous detergent composition comprising,
- a. 8 to 30 wt % of a surfactant system comprising,
- i. primary surfactant being anionic surfactant comprising
- a surfactant A of formula I:
- (R1—(OR′)n—O—SO3−)xMx+,
- wherein:
- R1 is saturated or unsaturated C8-C16 alkyl chain;
- R′ is ethylene;
- n is from 1 to 18;
- x is equal to 1 or 2;
- Mx+ is a suitable cation which provides charge neutrality selected from sodium, calcium, potassium and magnesium;
- and
- a surfactant B of formula II:
- (R1—O—SO3−)xMx+,
- wherein:
- R1 is saturated or unsaturated C8-C16 alkyl chain;
- x is equal to 1 or 2;
- Mx+ is a suitable cation which provides charge neutrality selected from sodium, calcium, potassium and magnesium;
- and
- ii. secondary surfactant being amphoteric surfactant comprising betaine;
- b. 0.1 to 5 wt % of an inorganic salt selected from the group consisting of sodium chloride, magnesium sulphate, sodium sulphate and combinations thereof;
- and
- c. one or more enzymes;
- wherein the primary surfactant comprises at least 70 wt %, calculated on total amount of primary surfactant, of surfactant A and surfactant B;
- wherein the weight ratio of surfactant A to surfactant B is in the range from 2:1 to 1:2.5;
- wherein the surfactant system optionally comprises alkylbenzene sulphonate or derivatives thereof wherein the amount of alkylbenzene sulphonate or derivatives thereof is up to 25 wt % of the anionic surfactant calculated on total amount of anionic surfactant;
- wherein the composition comprises from 0 to 1 wt % silicone;
- and
- wherein the weight ratio of primary surfactant to secondary surfactant is in the range from 4:1 to 13:1.
