Abstract
Methods and systems for providing content are disclosed. An example method can comprise receiving an encoding parameter associated with a first content transmission. The encoding parameter can indicate a level of complexity to encode the first content transmission. The method can comprise selecting, based on the encoding parameter, a second content transmission. The second content transmission can be encoded at a second bit rate that is different than a first bit rate of the first content transmission. The method can also comprise generating a third content transmission. The third content transmission can comprise the second content transmission.
Claims24
A method comprising:
- determining, by a computing device, based on encoding a content stream, one or more encoding attributes associated with the encoded content stream;
- determining, based on the one or more encoding attributes, a level of complexity to encode the content stream;
- generating, based on the level of complexity, an encoding parameter;
- and
- associating the encoding parameter with the encoded content stream.
An apparatus comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- a memory storing processor-executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the apparatus to:
- determine, based on encoding a content stream, one or more encoding attributes associated with the encoded content stream;
- determine, based on the one or more encoding attributes, a level of complexity to encode the content stream;
- generate, based on the level of complexity, an encoding parameter;
- and
- associate the encoding parameter with the encoded content stream.
One or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing processor-executable instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to:
- determine, by a computing device, based on encoding a content stream, one or more encoding attributes associated with the encoded content stream;
- determine, based on the one or more encoding attributes, a level of complexity to encode the content stream;
- generate, based on the level of complexity, an encoding parameter;
- and
- associate the encoding parameter with the encoded content stream.
A system comprising:
- a first computing device configured to:
- determine, based on encoding a content stream, one or more encoding attributes associated with the encoded content stream,
- determine, based on the one or more encoding attributes, a level of complexity to encode the content stream;
- generate, based on the level of complexity, an encoding parameter, and
- associate the encoding parameter with the encoded content stream;
- and
- a second computing device configured to receive the encoded content stream the encoding parameter.
