Abstract
Provided is a radar apparatus that detects a target object with high accuracy. The radar apparatus includes: transmission circuitry, which, in operation, alternately outputs a first transmission signal with a first central frequency and a second transmission signal with a second central frequency higher than the first central frequency for each transmission period; and one or a plurality of transmission antennas, which, in operation, transmit the first transmission signal and the second transmission signal. The second central frequency is higher than a frequency (1+1/Nc) times the first central frequency, where Nc is an integer indicating a number of times of transmission of each of the first transmission signal and the second transmission signal for the each transmission period within a predetermined duration.

A radar apparatus, comprising:
- a signal processing circuitry, which, in operation, outputs a first chirp signal of a first frequency sweep change rate and a second chirp signal of a second frequency sweep change rate different from the first frequency sweep change rate;
- one or more first transmission antennas, which, in operation, transmit the first chirp signal;
- and
- one or more second transmission antennas, which, in operation, transmit the second chirp signal,
- wherein a first period during which the first chirp signal is transmitted overlaps with at least a part of a second period during which the second chirp signal is transmitted.
A radar signal transmission method, comprising:
- outputting a first chirp signal of a first frequency sweep change rate and a second chirp signal of a second frequency sweep change rate different from the first frequency sweep change rate from a signal processing circuitry;
- transmitting the first chirp signal from one or more first transmission antennas;
- and
- transmit the second chirp signal from one or more second transmission antennas,
- wherein a first period during which the first chirp signal is transmitted overlaps with at least a part of a second period during which the second chirp signal is transmitted.
A radar signal processing circuit, comprising:
- a signal processing circuitry, which, in operation, outputs a first chirp signal of a first frequency sweep change rate and a second chirp signal of a second frequency sweep change rate different from the first frequency sweep change rate;
- and
- transmission radio circuitry, which, in operation, outputs transmit the first chirp signal to one or more first transmission antennas and outputs the second chirp signal to one or more second transmission antennas,
- wherein a first period during which the first chirp signal is transmitted overlaps with at least a part of a second period during which the second chirp signal is transmitted.
A radar signal processing method, comprising:
- outputting a first chirp signal of a first frequency sweep change rate and a second chirp signal of a second frequency sweep change rate different from the first frequency sweep change rate by a signal processing circuitry;
- and
- outputting the first chirp signal to one or more first transmission antennas and the second chirp signal to one or more second transmission antennas by transmission radio circuitry,
- wherein a first period during which the first chirp signal is transmitted overlaps with at least a part of a second period during which the second chirp signal is transmitted.
