Abstract
A detection circuit includes an I/V converter configured to convert a conduction current flowing in a piezoelectric element into a voltage, an integrator configured to integrate the voltage, and a switch configured to reset the integrator by use of a reset pulse.

A detection circuit comprising:
- an I/V converter configured to convert a conduction current flowing in a piezoelectric element into a voltage;
- an integrator configured to integrate the voltage;
- and
- a switch configured to reset the integrator by use of a reset pulse.

An image generation device comprising:
- a light source;
- a scanner configured to perform scanning with light emitted from the light source;
- a detection circuit configured to detect a scanning position of the light;
- and
- a controller configured to control the light source and the scanner, based on a video signal, wherein
- the scanner comprises a piezoelectric element for detecting the scanning position of the light,
- the detection circuit comprises
- an I/V converter configured to convert a conduction current flowing in the piezoelectric element into a voltage,
- an integrator configured to integrate the voltage, and
- a switch configured to reset the integrator by use of a reset pulse, and
- the controller outputs the reset pulse to the detection circuit at a predetermined timing to cause the switch to operate.
