Abstract
An Access Point (AP) wireless station operating in a wireless network may include a memory device storing a set of instructions and a processor coupled to the memory device. The set of instructions when executed by the processor may cause the AP to receive an OBSS status report frame from a wireless station (STA), and in response identify one or more feedback APs in the OBSS status report frame, select one or more APs from the one or more feedback APs for a cooperative transmission, transmit an AP cooperative request frame to the selected APs, and receive an AP cooperation confirmation frame from the selected APs.
Claims20
An Access Point (AP) wireless station operating in a wireless network, the AP comprising:
- a memory device storing a set of instructions;
- and
- a processor coupled to the memory device, wherein the set of instructions when executed by the processor cause the AP to:
- receive an OBSS status report frame from a wireless station (STA), and in response:
- identify one or more feedback APs in the OBSS status report frame;
- select one or more APs from the one or more feedback APs for a cooperative transmission;
- transmit an AP cooperative request frame to the selected APs;
- and
- receive an AP cooperation confirmation frame from the selected APs.
A method performed by an access point (AP) operating in a wireless network, the method comprising:
- receiving, by a processor of the AP, an OBSS status report frame from a wireless station (STA), and in response:
- identifying one or more feedback APs in the OBSS status report frame;
- selecting one or more APs from the one or more feedback APs for a cooperative transmission;
- transmitting an AP cooperative request frame to the selected APs;
- and
- receiving an AP cooperation confirmation frame from the selected APs.
