Abstract
Pill cutters and methods of cutting pills. The pill cutters may optionally include a spinnable blade and may be configured to cause the blade to spin to cut a pill. The pill cutters may be adapted to adjust the position of the pill before cutting the pill.

A handheld pill cutter adapted to cut a pill, comprising:
- a pill receiving area sized and configured to receive a pill;
- and
- a blade adapted to spin relative to the pill receiving area, the blade configured and arranged relative to the pill receiving area to cut through a pill that is positioned on the pill receiving area.
A method of cutting a pill with a personal pill cutter, comprising:
- moving a blade toward a pill receiving surface of the pill cutter, the blade configured and arranged to spin relative to the pill receiving area to cut a pill;
- causing the blade to spin relative to the pill receiving area;
- and
- cutting through the pill while the pill is on the pill receiving area.

A pill cutter, comprising:
- a blade portion that includes a blade;
- a pill receiving area adapted to receive a pill thereon;
- and
- at least one pill positioning member, the at least one pill positioning member configured and arranged to move relative to the pill receiving area to help secure a pill relative to the pill receiving area.
