The present invention suppresses expansion of data by early determining the type of machining having no relation to a diagnosis and excluding waveform data of the machining without preserving said waveform data. This diagnosis data collection device is for collecting data for a diagnosis of a machine tool performing machining composed of a plurality of machining types.
