Abstract
According to one aspect, a method includes obtaining sensor data from at least one encoder, the at least one sensor being positioned on a vehicle, wherein the vehicle includes an odometer arrangement and a memory, and processing the sensor data using the odometer arrangement. Processing the sensor data includes deriving odometer data from the sensor data, the odometer data being arranged to indicate a first distance travelled by the vehicle. The method also includes storing the odometer data in a memory of the vehicle, and providing the odometer data to an external storage.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- obtaining sensor data from at least one sensor, the at least one sensor being positioned on a vehicle, wherein the vehicle includes an odometer arrangement and a memory;
- processing the sensor data using the odometer arrangement, wherein processing the sensor data includes deriving odometer data from the sensor data, the odometer data being arranged to indicate a first distance travelled by the vehicle;
- storing the odometer data in a memory of the vehicle;
- and
- providing the odometer data to an external storage.
Logic encoded in one or more tangible non-transitory, computer-readable media for execution and when executed operable to:
- obtain sensor data from at least one sensor, the at least one sensor being positioned on a vehicle, wherein the vehicle includes an odometer arrangement and a memory;
- process the sensor data using the odometer arrangement, wherein the logic operable to process the sensor data is operable to derive odometer data from the sensor data, the odometer data being arranged to indicate a first distance travelled by the vehicle;
- store the odometer data in a memory of the vehicle;
- and
- provide the odometer data to an external storage.
A vehicle comprising:
- a chassis;
- a memory carried on the chassis;
- at least one wheel coupled to the chassis, the at least one wheel having at least one sensor positioned thereon;
- one or more tangible non-transitory, computer-readable media carried on the chassis;
- and
- logic encoded in the one or more tangible non-transitory, computer-readable media for execution and when executed operable to:
- obtain sensor data from the at least one sensor,
- process the sensor data, wherein the logic operable to process the sensor data is operable to derive odometer data from the sensor data, the odometer data being arranged to indicate a first distance travelled by the vehicle,
- store the odometer data in the memory, and
- provide the odometer data to an external storage.
