Abstract
Methods and systems are provided for controlling a park brake of a vehicle. In one embodiment, a method includes: evaluating tire pressure data associated with at least one tire of the vehicle; and in response to the evaluating, selectively generating a park brake control signal to activate the park brake of the vehicle.
Claims20
A method for providing controlling a park brake of a vehicle, comprising:
- evaluating tire pressure data associated with at least one tire of the vehicle;
- and
- in response to the evaluating, selectively generating a park brake control signal to activate the park brake of the vehicle.
A system for controlling a park brake of a vehicle, comprising:
- a computer readable medium configured to store tire pressure data associated with at least one tire of the vehicle;
- and
- a computer system onboard the vehicle and configured to, by a processor:
- evaluate the tire pressure data associated with the at least one tire of the vehicle;
- and
- in response to the evaluating, selectively generate a park brake control signal to activate the park brake of the vehicle.
