Abstract
Techniques for characterizing performance of an application on a first system for subsequent adjustment of operating parameters when running the application on a second system. The techniques comprising running the application on the first system. The techniques further comprising determining from running the application on the first system, one or more performance metrics that must be met when the application is run on the second system for adjustment of operating parameters of the second system when running the application on the second system. The techniques further comprising running the application on the second system using the adjusted operating parameters.
Claims20
A method for characterizing performance of an application on a first system for subsequent adjustment of operating parameters when running the application on a second system, comprising:
- running the application on the first system;
- determining from running the application on the first system, one or more performance metrics that must be met when the application is run on the second system for adjustment of operating parameters of the second system when running the application on the second system;
- and
- running the application on the second system using the adjusted operating parameters.
A system comprising:
- one or more storage media storing instructions;
- and
- one or more processors configured to execute the instructions to cause the system to implement a method for characterizing performance of a application on a first system for subsequent adjustment of operating parameters when running the application on a second system, comprising:
- running the application on the first system;
- determining from running the application on the first system, one or more performance metrics that must be met when the application is run on the second system for adjustment of operating parameters of the second system when running the application on the second system;
- and
- running the application on the second system using the adjusted operating parameters.
One or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media storing instructions that, upon execution by one or more processors of a system, cause the system to implement a method for characterizing performance of a application on a first system for subsequent adjustment of operating parameters when running the application on a second system, comprising:
- running the application on the first system;
- determining from running the application on the first system, one or more performance metrics that must be met when the application is run on the second system for adjustment of operating parameters of the second system when running the application on the second system;
- and
- running the application on the second system using the adjusted operating parameters.
