Methods, compositions, and kits for generating therapeutically relevant populations of immunosuppressive T-reg cells and uses thereof are disclosed.

A method of treating a patient in need of immunosuppression, the method comprising administering to the patient CD4+/CD25+ regulatory T (T-reg) cells enriched and expanded from a cryopreserved sample.
