A method of diagnosing pancreatic cancer in a patient, comprising:
- a. obtaining a biological sample from the patient;
- b. detecting the presence or absence of IHoP in the biological sample;
- and
- c. diagnosing the patient with pancreatic cancer when the presence of IHoP in the biological sample is detected.
