Abstract

A buffer material (1) includes a gel layer (3) and a skin layer (4). The gel layer (3) includes a polyurethane gel. The gel layer (3) has a storage modulus (E′gel) at 23° C. of 0.01 MPa or more and 10 MPa or less. The skin layer (4) is disposed on one surface of the gel layer (3). The skin layer (4) has a 100% modulus of less than 5.0 MPa or less, and/or the skin layer (4) has a fine uneven structure in a surface thereof and the surface of the skin layer (4) has an arithmetic average roughness Ra of more than 0 μm and 10 μm or less, as measured according to the following conditions: Measurement conditions of arithmetic average roughness Ra; a spherical contact having a diameter φ of 1.6 mm, a specification load of 0.4 gf, a measurement length of 40 mm, a cutoff wavelength of 0.8 mm, and a measurement speed of 0.15 mm/sec.
