Abstract
A filter material, namely a nonwoven material, is provided, wherein the filter material comprises a first filter section and a second filter section, the first filter section facing the upstream side of the filter material and the second filter section facing the downstream side, wherein the first filter section is if of higher porosity than the second filter section, and wherein the first and the second filter section merge into each other along a porosity gradient, so that no defined separation surface exists between the sections.
Claims22
A single layer nonwoven filter material (10) having:
- (i) a first surface (20) and a second surface (30) and an inner region (13) in-between the first surface and the second surface,
- wherein
- (ii) the inner region (13) having a first section (11) and a second section (12),
- (iii) the first section (11) facing the first surface (20) of the filter material (10),
- (iv) the second section (12) facing the second surface (30) of the filter material (10),
- (v) the first section (11) has a first fiber density and the second filter section (12) has a second fiber density,
- (vi) the second fiber density is higher than the first fiber density,
- (vii) the fibers forming the inner area (13) and the first section (11) and the second section (12) are the same kind of fibers,
- (viii) the thickness of the first section (11) in from 20-80% of the total thickness of the inner region
- (ix) the thickness of the second section (12) in from 80-20% of the total thickness of the inner region
- (x) the second fiber density is higher, than the first fiber density.
