Offset reamers

An offset reamer system comprising:

• a glenoid arthroplasty prosthesis comprising:
• a bone-facing surface;
• and
• an articular surface opposite the bone-facing surface;
• and
• an offset reamer comprising:
• a reamer head comprising:
• a first rotational axis;
• a cutting side;
• a reverse side opposite the cutting side;
• and
• a socket comprising a plurality of socket surfaces;
• and
• a reamer driver comprising:
• a second rotational axis;
• a proximal end;
• a distal end;
• and
• a drive tip disposed at the distal end of the reamer driver comprising a plurality of lobes insertable into the socket to engage with the plurality of socket surfaces therein;
• wherein, when the drive tip is placed within the socket:
• the second rotational axis of the reamer driver is oriented at an oblique angle relative to the first rotational axis of the reamer head;
• the reamer driver is configured to rotate about the second rotational axis and transmit torque to the reamer head via rotational engagement of the plurality of lobes against the plurality of socket surfaces to rotate the reamer head about the first rotational axis;
• and
• the reamer head is configured to rotate, causing the cutting side to prepare a reamed surface on a glenoid fossa that is shaped to receive the bone-facing surface of the glenoid arthroplasty prosthesis thereon.

An offset reamer system comprising:

• a glenoid arthroplasty implant;
• and
• an offset reamer comprising:
• a reamer head comprising:
• a first rotational axis;
• a cutting side comprising a plurality of radial arms defining a plurality of cutting ridges oriented in a distal direction with respect to the first rotational axis;
• and
• a reverse side opposite the cutting side, the reverse side oriented in a proximal direction with respect to the first rotational axis;
• and
• a reamer driver comprising:
• a second rotational axis;
• a proximal end;
• and
• a distal end configured to rotatably couple with the reamer head;
• wherein, when the distal end of the reamer driver is rotatably coupled with the reamer head:
• the second rotational axis is oriented at an oblique angle relative to the first rotational axis;
• the reamer driver is configured to rotate about the second rotational axis and transmit torque to the reamer head to rotate the reamer head about the first rotational axis;
• and
• the reamer head is configured to rotate, causing the plurality of cutting ridges to prepare a reamed surface on a glenoid fossa.
