Abstract
A method of using an operating nut includes engaging a tool with the operating nut of a device, the operating nut including a digital identification tag and the tool including a digital identification tag reader, placing the digital identification tag reader within a read range of the digital identification tag, and reading the digital identification tag with the digital identification tag reader to receive data of the device.

A method of using an operating nut, the method comprising:
- engaging a tool with the operating nut of a device, the operating nut comprising a digital identification tag and the tool comprising a digital identification tag reader;
- placing the digital identification tag reader within a read range of the digital identification tag;
- and
- reading the digital identification tag with the digital identification tag reader to receive data of the device.

- confirming that a second device located nearby a service technician or nearby a first device that is a subject of a service call is due for an inspection and/or service, the second device comprising a digital identification tag;
- and
- alerting the service technician that the second device is due for an inspection and/or service.
