Abstract
In some aspects, the present disclosure provides an implant. In some embodiments, the implant comprises a porous body comprising a form that fills a defect of a bone of a head of a subject. In some embodiments, the implant comprises a recess in the porous body, wherein the recess comprises a dimension larger than an average pore dimension of the porous body. In some embodiments, the implant comprises a biologic disposed in the recess. In some embodiments, the implant comprises an extension.
Claims20
A method of implanting an implant, comprising:
- (a) providing the implant comprising a porous body that fills a defect of a bone of a head of a subject, wherein the porous body comprises a biologic;
- and
- (b) coupling the implant to the bone of the subject by installing an attachment device through the implant and the bone of the subject, wherein the attachment device comprises a non-corrosive material.
An implant, comprising:
- (a) a porous body comprising a form that fills a defect of a bone of a head of a subject;
- (b) a recess in the porous body, wherein the recess comprises a dimension larger than an average pore dimension of the porous body;
- and
- (c) a biologic disposed in the recess.
An implant, comprising:
- (a) a porous body comprising a form that fills a defect of a bone of a head of a subject;
- (b) a biologic disposed in the porous body;
- and
- (c) an extension connected to the porous body, wherein the extension is configured to lay against the bone of the head of the subject.
