Robotic vacuum cleaning system

A mobile cleaning robot comprising:

• a body;
• a drive system connected to the body and operable to move the mobile cleaning robot within an environment;
• a vacuum system connected to the body and operable to produce an air stream to extract debris from a flooring surface of the environment;
• and
• a cleaning head connected to the body, the cleaning head comprising:
• a housing at least partially defining an inlet and an outlet;
• a roller supported by the housing and rotatable with respect to the housing to move debris from the inlet toward the outlet;
• and
• a gearbox connected to the housing and operable to drive the roller to rotate, the gearbox, the roller, and the housing together movable with respect to the body and the flooring surface.

A mobile cleaning robot movable within an environment, the mobile cleaning robot comprising:

• a body;
• a vacuum system connected to the body and operable produce an air stream to extract debris from a flooring surface of the environment;
• and
• a cleaning head connected to the body, the cleaning head comprising:
• a housing at least partially defining an inlet and an outlet;
• a front roller and a rear roller each supported by the housing and rotatable with respect to the housing to extract debris from the environment;
• and
• a gearbox connected to the housing and operable to drive the front roller and the rear roller to independently rotate, the gearbox, the front roller, the rear roller, and the housing together movable with respect to the body and the flooring surface.
