Abstract
Provided herein is a solid article for sustained release of one or more pheromones, comprising at least 5 wt. % of one or more pheromones embedded in a gel matrix, wherein said gel matrix is formed from a chemically cross-linked polyester material.

A solid article for sustained release of one or more pheromones, comprising at least 5 wt. % of one or more pheromones embedded in a gel matrix,
- wherein said gel matrix is formed from a chemically cross-linked polyester material.
A method of making a solid article, comprising the following steps:
- (i) mixing an epoxidized vegetable oil with a polyfunctional carboxylic acid in a solvent;
- (ii) adding the one or more pheromones and mixing until homogeneous;
- and
- (iii) allowing the mixture to rest for at least 4 hours.
