Abstract
Disclosed herein is a readout-circuit. The readout-circuit is configured for converting an analog sensor charge into a digital output count. The readout-circuit includes at least one integrate-and-fire(IAF)-circuit. The IAF-circuit is configured for converting the analog sensor charge into a first digital output count. An analog voltage remainder after a final IAF cycle is further processed. The readout-circuit includes at least one analog-to-digital-converter (ADC). The ADC is configured for converting the analog voltage remainder into a second digital output. Further, disclosed herein are a photodetector and a method for readout of an analog sensor charge.

A readout-circuit configured for converting an analog sensor charge into a digital output count, wherein the readout-circuit comprises at least one integrate-and-fire(IAF)-circuit, wherein the IAF-circuit is configured for converting the analog sensor charge into a first digital output count, wherein the readout-circuit is further configured for processing an analog voltage remainder after a final IAF cycle, wherein the readout-circuit comprises at least one analog-to-digital-converter (ADC), wherein the ADC is configured for converting the analog voltage remainder into a second digital output.
