Abstract
A method for manufacturing hardwood nosing, comprising: confirming stair opening or landing surround measurements onsite; cut the flooring board to be used to create the nose; run two pieces of tape the length of the flooring board on the face of the flooring with a center line of each piece of tape approximately arranged at the centerline of each miter cut as illustrated; set up a shaper to remove the material from the flooring board to create the miter fold; calibrate the depth of the cut; and create the miter.

A method for manufacturing hardwood nosing, comprising:
- confirming stair opening or landing surround measurements onsite;
- cut the flooring board to be used to create the nose;
- run two pieces of tape the length of the flooring board on the face of the flooring with a center line of each piece of tape approximately arranged at the centerline of each miter cut as illustrated;
- set up a shaper to remove the material from the flooring board to create the miter fold;
- calibrate the depth of the cut;
- and
- create the miter.
