Scheduling method and system for middleware-mediated user-to-user service

A method of scheduling user-to-user service between users of different computing systems, comprising, by a computing platform:

• exposing a first interface to a plurality of user-to-user platforms, wherein the plurality of user-to-user platforms provide independent computing environments;
• receiving, via the first interface, a request from one of the plurality of user-to-user platforms;
• assigning the request to a servicing user of a plurality of servicing users based at least in part on information associated with the request and availability of the servicing user;
• exposing a second interface to the servicing user;
• displaying, on the second interface, one or more events respectively corresponding to the one or more assigned requests;
• and
• displaying, on the second interface for an event of the one or more events, a button corresponding to a uniform resource locator (URL) provided by the platform from which the assigned request is received, and wherein interaction with the button by the servicing user hosts a communication session between a requesting user and the servicing user based on the URL.

A system for scheduling user-to-user service between users of different computing systems, comprising a processor and memory storing instructions executable by the processor to cause the system to perform operations comprising:

• expose a first interface to a plurality of user-to-user platforms, wherein the plurality of user-to-user platforms provide independent computing environments;
• receive, via the first interface, a request from one of the plurality of user-to-user platforms;
• assign the request to a servicing user of a plurality of servicing users based at least in part on information associated with the request and availability of the servicing user;
• expose a second interface to the servicing user;
• display, on the second interface, one or more events respectively corresponding to the one or more assigned requests;
• and
• display, on the second interface for an event of the one or more events, a button corresponding to a uniform resource locator (URL) provided by the platform from which the assigned request is received, and wherein interaction with the button by the servicing user hosts a communication session between a requesting user and the servicing user based on the URL.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium for scheduling user-to-user service between users of different computing systems, configured with instructions executable by one or more processors to cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising, by a computing platform:

• exposing a first interface to a plurality of user-to-user platforms, wherein the plurality of user-to-user platforms provide independent computing environments;
• receiving, via the first interface, a request from one of the plurality of user-to-user platforms;
• assigning the request to a servicing user of a plurality of servicing users based at least in part on information associated with the request and availability of the servicing user;
• exposing a second interface to the servicing user;
• displaying, on the second interface, one or more events respectively corresponding to the one or more assigned requests;
• and
• displaying, on the second interface for an event of the one or more events, a button corresponding to a uniform resource locator (URL) provided by the platform from which the assigned request is received, and wherein interaction with the button by the servicing user hosts a communication session between a requesting user and the servicing user based on the URL.
