Microscope System, Smart Medical Device, Automatic Focusing Method and Storage Medium

A method performed by a microscope system, comprising:

• generating a first optical output via a sample imaging optical subsystem if the microscope system;
• generating a second optical output of a source image via an optical projection subsystem of the microscope system;
• combining the first optical output and the second optical output via a beamsplitter of the microscope system to generate a superposed optical output;
• directing the superposed optical output to a camera assembly and/or an eyepiece of microscope system;
• and
• performing autofocusing of the first optical output in the camera assembly.

A non-transitory storage medium, storing a plurality of instructions, the instructions, when executed by a processor of a microscope system, cause the microscope system to:

• generate a first optical output via a sample imaging optical subsystem if the microscope system;
• generate a second optical output of a source image via an optical projection subsystem of the microscope system;
• combine the first optical output and the second optical output via a beamsplitter of the microscope system to generate a superposed optical output;
• direct the superposed optical output to a camera assembly and/or an eyepiece of microscope system;
• and
• perform autofocusing of the first optical output in the camera assembly.
