Provided is an electronic device and an operation method of the electronic device. The electronic device mediating between a wireless scanner and a data processing device processing scan data obtained by the wireless scanner includes a wireless communication module, a memory including one or more instructions, and a processor configured to execute the one or more instructions to control the wireless communication module to receive the scan data transmitted from the wireless scanner, and control the received scan data to be processed and transmitted to the data processing device, wherein the wireless communication module includes an antenna for receiving the scan data transmitted from the wireless scanner, and the antenna is disposed or controlled to have at least one of a location or a direction suitable for receiving the scan data.
