### Claim 25 (depends on 21)

The electrode according claim 21, wherein the carrier substrate is capable of at least partly an electrolyte or electrolyte retaining separator for the electrolytic capacitor, and wherein a second side of the carrier substrate is free of a metallization.

### Claim 26 (depends on 25)

The electrode according claim 25, wherein the carrier substrate is capable of being penetrated or soaked by an electrolyte of the electrolytic capacitor.

### Claim 27 (depends on 25)

The electrode according to claim 25, wherein the carrier substrate is porous.

### Claim 28 (depends on 25)

The electrode according to claim 25, wherein the carrier substrate is a fibrous carrier substrate.

### Claim 29 (depends on 28)

The electrode according to claim 28, wherein the carrier substrate comprises cellulose fibers.

### Claim 30 (depends on 21)

The electrode according to claim 21, wherein the carrier substrate has a thickness of below 15 μm and the metallization has a thickness of 0.01 to 1 μm.

### Claim 31 (depends on 21)

The electrode according to claim 21, wherein the metallization is surface enhanced, and wherein a specific capacitance of at least 5 μF/cm2 is provided.

### Claim 32 (depends on 21)

The electrode according to claim 21, wherein the carrier substrate provides a tensile strength of at least 10 N/cm to the electrode.

### Claim 33 (depends on 21)

The electrode according to claim 21, wherein the metallization comprises multiple layers.

### Claim 34 (depends on 33)

The electrode according to claim 33, wherein the layers of the metallization are ribbons and the layers are arranged such that a net-like pattern is created by the ribbons.

### Claim 35 (depends on 25)

A wound electrolytic capacitor comprising:
an anode;
a cathode being the electrode according to claim 25; and
a first separator,
wherein the first separator is arranged between the metallized first side of the carrier substrate and the side of the anode facing the metallized first side of the carrier substrate, and
