A computer system receives a first data signal comprising real-time location, vital signs, or acceleration data of the primary account holder from a user device. Based on the real-time location, vital signs, or acceleration data, the computer system determines an impairment status for the primary account holder. Using the second transaction history for a non-primary account holder or data records from third-party sources, the computer system confirms the impairment status for the primary account holder and activates management controls for the one or more accounts associated with the primary account holder and the non-primary account holder. The computer system receives a second data signal indicating the primary account holder is no longer impaired and, based on the second data signal, deactivates the management controls for the one or more accounts.
