Lighting fixture and methods

A lighting fixture comprising:

• a sky-resembling light assembly comprising a first light exit surface and at least one first light engine that comprises a first multi-LED array including bluish LEDs, greenish LEDs, and white LEDs, wherein LEDs of the first multi-LED array are arranged in multiple separately-controllable strings of connected LEDs including a first LED string comprising greenish LEDs and bluish LEDs and including a second LED string comprising white LEDs;
• a sun-resembling light assembly comprising a plurality of second light engines that each comprises a second multi-LED array;
• wherein, upon supplying electricity to the light fixture:
• light having x, y color coordinates defining a first color point on a 1931 CIE Chromaticity Diagram exits the at least one first light engine through the first light exit surface, and
• light having a second x, y color coordinates defining a second color point on a 1931 CIE Chromaticity Diagram point exits at least one second light engine of the plurality of second light engines, the second color point being more yellow-ish white than the first color point;
• wherein the first light engine and the plurality of second light engines are positioned and oriented such that at least some light that exits the first light exit surface travels to a region to which at least some light that exits the plurality of second light engines travels;
• wherein the light fixture is configured to be mounted within or against a building surface, and is configured to produce emissions providing an appearance of a skylight or window without transmission of exterior light through any portion of the light fixture;
• and
• wherein a plot of current is supplied to the first LED string as a function of pseudo correlated color temperature and is asymmetric or unbalanced relative to a plot of current supplied to the second LED string as a function of pseudo correlated color temperature.
