Method and system for transferring an interactive feature to another device

A method comprising:

• detecting an interruption of a media asset being consumed by a first user and a second user on a first device, wherein the interruption is caused by displaying of an interactive feature having a plurality of attributes, wherein the displaying is in response to a selection by the second user;
• in response to detecting the interruption, comparing an attribute of a first profile associated with the first user with an attribute of the plurality of attributes of the interactive feature;
• based on the comparing, determining that the attribute of the interactive feature matches the attribute of the first profile;
• and
• in response to determining that the attribute of the interactive feature matches the attribute of the first profile, delaying providing for display an option to transfer the interactive feature from the first device to a second device.

A system comprising:

• control circuitry configured to:
• detect an interruption of a media asset being consumed by a first user and a second user on a first device, wherein the interruption is caused by displaying of an interactive feature having a plurality of attributes, wherein the displaying is in response to a selection by the second user;
• in response to detecting the interruption, compare an attribute of a first profile associated with the first user with an attribute of the plurality of attributes of the interactive feature;
• based on the comparing, determine that the attribute of the interactive feature matches the attribute of the first profile;
• and
• in response to determining that the attribute of the interactive feature matches the attribute of the first profile, delay providing for display an option to transfer the interactive feature from the first device to a second device.
