Laundry appliance

A laundry appliance, comprising:

• a cabinet including a front panel defining a front opening;
• a tub disposed within the cabinet, wherein the tub defines an access opening that is vertically offset from the front opening;
• an oblique bellows assembly coupled to and extending between the cabinet and the tub, wherein the oblique bellows assembly defines a downward slope between the cabinet and the tub;
• and
• a door configured to translate vertically between a closed position covering the front opening and an opened position allowing access to the front opening, wherein the door is configured to engage the oblique bellows assembly in the closed position to form a seal about the front opening.

A laundry appliance, comprising:

• a cabinet including a front panel defining a front opening;
• a tub disposed within the cabinet;
• a bellows assembly coupled to and extending between the cabinet and the tub, wherein the bellows assembly includes a seal extending along the front opening;
• and
• a door assembly including:
• guiding features disposed on opposing sides of the front opening;
• and
• a door panel operably coupled with the guiding features, wherein the door panel is configured to translate vertically along the guiding features between a closed position and an opened position, and wherein the door panel is positioned over the front opening and engages the seal when in the closed position.
